September is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month

Suicide Prevention Awareness Week: September 8-14, 2024

World Suicide Prevention Awareness Day: September 10

Every September communities across America recognize Suicide Prevention Awareness Month. It is a time to raise awareness about the impact of suicide, reduce stigma, and inspire hope that lives can be saved. September reminds us that, together, we can take action for suicide prevention.

Shasta County Out of the Darkness Community Walk Saturday, September 7 at Caldwell Park – Register for free here!
Light of Hope Event Tuesday, September 10 from 5 – 7:30 p.m. at the Sundial Bridge

National Suicide Loss Survivor Day – November 23, 2024

Each year, the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) offers a day of support for suicide loss survivors. AFSP features an annually produced documentary about healing and hope. This is a free event and all are welcome to attend.
